Ek Roshni plans to empower marginalized women in Uttar Pradesh through skill-based garment stitching training, aiming for economic independence. The program targets rural/semi-urban areas, with partnerships with MSMEs and government schemes, initially involving 15 women, increasing to 50 by the second year.

Programme Description
In marginalized communities, gender roles often limit women’s economic opportunities. To tackle this issue, Ek Roshni intends to provide skill-based training to women in garment stitching. Through structured training, women will acquire stitching skills, empowering them to earn and support their families. Upon completion, they will receive financial incentives, ensuring their involvement in the production process. Goods will be marketed via various channels, including digital platforms, with proceeds reinvested for sustainability. Objectives encompass women’s empowerment, incentivized training, market access, and a self-sustaining model. Program components include skill development training, financial incentives, production units, and market exploration.
For effective execution, we will establish partnerships with MSMEs, business / market hubs and leverage government schemes.
This program will target rural/semi-urban areas in Uttar Pradesh, with emphasis on districts like Lucknow, Saharanpur, and Muzaffarnagar covering around 15 women in first year and then increasing to a total of 50 by the second year.
